The 2007 session is hosted by The University of
Michigan, in Ann Arbor, at its Executive Education Center.
Instructional Methodology
The program focuses on best practices in the field of human services
management and leadership. Content will be delivered over 100 hours in
two concentrated sessions of 4 1/2 days each over two years. A
project, worked on between the sessions, will end with oral
presentations during Session 2. Michigan Business School faculty will
serve as mentors for the projects. In addition, the course will
combine pre-institute reading, formal presentations, interactive
sessions, a practicum, and individual mentoring.
Participants
• Senior-level managers who aspire
to assume the duties of a CEO in
the future.
• Any senior-level manager within a nonprofit, human service
organization or community center with responsibility for budget and
staff supervision.
• Current CEOs who recognize the need for specific training to
strengthen their own managerial and leadership skills.
