About the Publisher
The Alliance for Children and Families is a nonprofit membership
association representing nonprofit child- and family-serving and
economic empowerment organizations in the United States and
Canada.
The more than 370 member organizations of the Alliance provide
an array of community-based programs and services to all
generations, annually serving close to 3.4 million people in
more than 6,000 communities.
Together, they have a combined operating budget of $4.1 billion,
employ more than 53,000 full-time staff, and enjoy the
volunteerism of more than 7,500 board members. Motivated by a
vision of a healthy society and strong communities, the Alliance
works to strengthen America’s nonprofit sector and, through
advocacy, assure its continued independence.
Member agencies are the first priority of the Alliance; as such,
a clear understanding of members’ needs and expectations drives
all processes, practices, and policies. The Alliance plays a
significant national role to assure the strength and
independence of our private, nonprofit members, and we are
committed to this sector and act as our members’ national radar
to keep them apprised of important trends and issues.
