Article Review Process

Upon receipt of your article proposal, you will receive an acknowledgement letter. Your article is then reviewed by members of the magazine’s editorial advisory board. Alliance staff will then notify you if your article is accepted for publication. Staff will also communicate to you a copy deadline, the issue within which the article will appear, and other guidance as needed.

Articles generally run from three to five magazine pages, or from 1,500 to 4,000 words in length.

Acceptance of a proposal article presumes the article has not been published or accepted for publication elsewhere.

Article Proposal Option

As an alternative to submitting a finished article, you may submit a 100- to 150-word summary of a proposed article. Your proposal should contain the article’s main points and proposed title. If your proposed article is accepted, we will request that you complete the article, which will then go through the standard review process as described earlier.
