Methodist Home for Children CEO Honored

Angele Parker, CEO of Alliance member Methodist Home for Children, has been named Administrator of the Year by the United Methodist Association in the Youth and Family Division.

This prestigious award is presented to the Administrator who is known to:

  • View and demonstrate that her work is a personal ministry to serve
  • Possess strong leadership which enables the organization to excel
  • Maintain active involvement in the community and correctional units within the United Methodist local conference

Robert Niles, board chair for Methodist Home for Children, noted, “Parker’s leadership has been reflected in continued improvements in program diversity, quality, and management. She brings strong leadership to the agency as it continues to cope with outside forces that impact its mission and vision.”

“Angele has worked to extend our Wesleyan mission into areas that traditionally were not served. In addition to leading us to new areas, she has brought tremendous experience and patience to our existing programs and has pushed everyone involved to extend themselves and our resources to provide the highest level of service we can,” said Lawrence Dodds, chair of the Methodist Services for Children and Families and Methodist Family Services of Philadelphia boards.
