Alliance Public Policy Survey

The Alliance is currently working with members of Congress to enact prompt payment legislation that would require states to pay outstanding bills under grants and contracts that are fully or partially federally funded.

To help support such legislation, we are collecting information about the issue from our member organizations. Please answer each question and include explanations when appropriate.

1. Is your organization suffering delayed payments from state or local governments?

Yes No

2. Which states and/or local governments, if any, have been paying on time?

3. Which states and/or local governments, if any, have been paying late?

If your agency is not suffering late payments, stop here. Otherwise, please answer the following questions:

4. Which programs have suffered late payments?

5. How late have payments been?

6. What impact are these late payments having on your agency?
