Conference Description
Our 2012 interactive program, designed by and for nonprofit CEOs and executive directors only, will take a deeper dive into the Alliances' report Disruptive Forces: Driving the Human Services Revolution. Released in 2011, the report outlines six disruptive forces that will fundamentally transform the nonprofit human services sector. Join your peers and public sector industry leaders for a deeper exploration of the disruptive forces and their implications for leadership in the nonprofit sector. Key themes and discussions featured at this year’s program include:
- Overview of Disruptive Forces findings. Presented by Susan N. Dreyfus, President and CEO of the Alliance for Children and Families and Families International
- Adaptive Leadership. A model for navigating the 21st century leadership challenge, led by Antonio Ofteli of Harvard University’s Leadership for a Networked World
- Dialogue with Public Sector Leaders. Tracy Wareing, executive director of the American Public Human Services Association will lead a reactor panel together with four invited state secretaries of human services who will share their responses to the disruptive forces and the drivers that are influencing public sector investments.
- Deeper Dive into Disruptive Force #2: Information Liberation. Presented by Jerry Friedman, director of strategic initiatives, Accenture Human Services Industry Group; and Elaine Turville, senior director, Accenture Nonprofit Practice. Participants will explore how integrated information systems have the potential to transform human service delivery and outcomes.
- Deeper Dive into Disruptive Force #4. Uncompromising Demand for Impact led by Daniel Stid, partner at The Bridgespan Group, who will engage participants in how nonprofit human service leaders can position themselves as highly relevant to impact beyond program outcomes.
Designed by and for nonprofit CEOs and executive directors only, this conference retreat offers tailored professional development and networking opportunities to better equip nonprofit human service CEOs and executive directors to lead successfully. Registration is limited to 50 attendees to ensure a robust, yet intimate learning environment.
