New Website Offers More to Visitors
What is new on the Alliance for Children and Families website?
- Member staff and visitors can add comments on selected pages that then will be visible to others.
- Large visually compelling “billboards” that rotate regularly grace the Alliance home page
- Some Alliance programs have their own mini home page within the site. Check out the following: New Age of Aging, Civic Engagement, and RDS.
- Each mini-home page has its own set of rotating billboards
- The Alliance home page and the various mini home pages all feature a sliding carousel of photos and accompanying copy
- The site’s visual appeal is much stronger withincreased use of photos, illustrations, and art.
- Exclusive members-only content
- Members who register on the site can access he members-only content
- Latest Alliance news—see it on the website first, followed by a recap in the electronic newsletter, Alliance E-News
- Online access to an expanded Alliance staff directory with e-mail addresses, phone numbers, and information on their prime areas of responsibility.
- Online access to an expanded member directory with mailing addresses, e-mail addresses, the name of the senior executive (and his/her contact information), and the member’s website address (a hyperlink takes you to it directly)
- A searchable online archive of the Severson Center’s e-alerts and announcements.
- An expanded and powerful search engine that defaults to the website, not the Internet.
- Visual calendar with upcoming events, conferences, workshops, teleconferences, and webinars. One click access takes you to expanded information, including how to register.

- Online sign-up forms for subscribing to the Alliance E-News and Grantstation Insider (members only)
- Polling allows us to survey, online, the pulse of our membership on a variety of topics and issues, with the results available real time.
- The site provides direct links to the websites of the Alliance for Children & Families Magazine, the Nonprofit Director, and Families in Society—The Journal of Contemporary Human Service.
