Alliance Members Receive Reaccreditation, COA Award
Alliance for Children and Families member Lutheran Social Services of New England in Wellesley, Mass., recently achieved first-time accreditation through the Council on Accreditation (COA).
In addition, 11 other members achieved COA reaccreditation:
- Casa Pacifica in Camarillo, Calif.
- Family Services in Winston Salem, N.C.
- Family Services of Western Pennsylvania in Pittsburgh
- Five Acres in Altadena, Calif.
- Holy Family Institute in Pittsburgh
- Lawrence Hall Youth Services in Chicago
- Lutheran Child & Family Service of Michigan in Bay City
- Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan in Milwaukee
- TFI Family Services Inc. in Emporia, Kan.
- The Family Center in Columbus, Ga.
- Village for Families & Children in Hartford, Conn.
COA also recognized two members for demonstrating exemplary performance improvement initiatives:
- Casa Pacifica in Camarillo, Calif.
- Family Matters of Greater Washington in Washington, D.C.
This special recognition, which was introduced by COA last year, acknowledges organizations’ commitment to quality service delivery and continuous compliance with COA standards. The honor is given based on the review of the organization's annual Maintenance of Accreditation reports.

Severson Center Offers Free Accreditation Assistance
Staff in the Alliance's Severson Center are well-versed in the accreditation process and assist members that are considering or currently undergoing accreditation.
Alliance members receive accreditation assistance free-of-charge, as well as a discount on the Council on Accreditation’s accreditation fee.
Another valuable accreditation-related resource available to members is the Severson Center’s DocuShare, which contains actual policies and forms compiled from a variety of member organizations.
