New Article: Power of Board Members’ Voices

Most nonprofit organizations recognize the value of their board directors’ abilities to build relationships and solicit donations. Yet, they often underestimate the same individuals’ abilities to advocate for positive policy change and build relationships with elected officials.

A new article in the Alliance for Children and Families Nonprofit Director publication explains how board-driven advocacy often holds the greatest potential for positively influencing policy decisions that directly impact an organization’s unique strategic goals. It also provides simple tips for beginning to build relationships with elected officials.
