Barbara Brizdle

Barbara Brizdle is a member of the board of directors of Jewish Family and Children’s Services of Sarasota-Manatee in Sarasota, Fla. She has served on the board for more than 10 years and has lead as board chair and cahair of the capital campaign.

Currently, Brizdle serves as an overseer for the University of Pennsylvania’s libraries. She also is a member of the board of directors of the Alliance for Children and Families’ sister organization United Neighborhood Centers of America. Brizdle has previously served on the boards of the National Association of Jewish Family Services and the Sarasota-Manatee Jewish Federation.

Brizdle has had a successful career in the computer services industry, having built a software development unit for a national timesharing company, held successive positions at Chase Manhattan Bank, and created her own software management consulting company. She received her bachelor’s from Cornell University and an Executive M.B.A. from Harvard University.
