Denise Cross

Denise Cross is president/CEO of Alliance for Children and Families member Cornerstones of Care in Kansas City, Mo. Cornerstones of Care provides therapeutic treatment services through five subsidiary agencies.

Cross currently serves on the Alliance Strategic Positioning Committee. Her background includes knowledge of the federal system and understanding of the different federal programs and initiatives related to children and families.

Within Missouri, she implemented the Children’s Health Insurance Program in collaboration with other state agencies, community organizations, and federal departments. The effort afforded health care to approximately 90,000 low-income children.

Cross earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri–Columbia. She also graduated from Harvard’s Executive Program for State and Local Government, as well as the Greater Missouri Leadership program.
