ECSG Coming to Your Neighborhood
The Alliance for Children and Families is
bringing the expertise of its Executive
Consultant Select Group (ECSG) to your
neighborhood. Starting in June and
continuing through the end of 2008, ECSG
will be sponsoring daylong workshops across
the country.
This collaborative effort between the
University of Michigan, OPEN MINDS, and
various consultants will bring Alliance
members face-to-face access to ECSG
consultants without a large financial
investment. Workshop content will equip
organizations with new tools and enhance
skill sets, delivering knowledge and content
for nonprofit human service agencies in the
areas of leadership and management,
organizational effectiveness, and
sustainability.
Four programs are already scheduled for
June. For the first three programs, Alliance
members have graciously offered to host. The
first planned programs are:

Now that managing
change has become a focal point in the
behavioral and human services fields, it’s
important to understand how your leadership
style can make or break your organization in
times of transition. It’s also important to
understand how people respond to change in order
to help them transition and grow with the
organization. This seminar will help you examine
your own leadership style and identify how to
adapt your style in order help your employees
manage change. In addition, you’ll get tips for
motivating, energizing, and recognizing your
team to overcome resistance, gain commitment,
and manage conflict.
