The Alliance for Children and Families has chosen 14 nonprofit organizations to participate in a pilot project that will explore, test, and develop an understanding of the elevation of strategy within nonprofit human service organizations. The pilot sites have been awarded a total of $2.5 million in grants.

The Alliance for Children and Families released Disruptive Forces: Driving a Human Services Revolution on Oct. 17, 2011, a report to assist the nonprofit human services sector maintain a level of high performance during the next 3-5 years, despite fiscal, political, and societal challenges.

The Alliance for Children and Families and United Neighborhood Centers of America jointly issued a new report that describes how a commission in Montana could become a model for other sates. The Montana commission is charged with reviewing community based human service provider rates, including the state’s foster care rates. It could be a model for other states that wish to avoid legal challenges and improve their foster care systems.
