Benefits of Alliance Membership
Member organizations of the Alliance for Children and Families receive a member benefits package designed with a clear understanding of the needs and expectations of nonprofit human service organizations.
Moreover, the Alliance is highly responsive to the changing trends, challenges, and opportunities that impact its members. The benefits package is regularly modified to help members keep pace with these changes and perform at consistently high levels.

- Funding Assistance. Grants are available through the New Age of Aging initiative and civic engagement program. Severson Center provides free funding searches. Free e-mail updates about new funding opportunities. Resource Development Services program facilitates networking and knowledge development.
- Webinars and Teleconferences. Many free to members; others have reduced fee. All address timely topics affecting the nonprofit human services sector.
- National Radar System. Alliance serves as members’ national radar system, keeping members up-to-date about changing trends and opportunities.
- Workshops, Meetings, and Conferences. Several are free for members; others may include registration fees. All targeted to meet Alliance member needs.
- Alliance E-News. Free biweekly electronic publication featuring news about Alliance programs and services, funding opportunities, and public policy updates.

Profession-Specific Networking. Free Community of Practice email groups facilitate peer networking, knowledge development, and information sharing around specific professional responsibilities. Examples include marketing and communications, human resources, resource development, information technology, and senior leadership.
- Accreditation Assistance. Free guidance from Severson Center. Discounted fees for the Council on Accreditation.
- Public Policy News and Updates. Public policy office disseminates policy briefs, news updates, and legislative analyses from the nonprofit human services perspective.
- Customized, Tailored Peer Networking. Members with specific challenges or questions are connected for free to members who have successfully overcome similar circumstances.
- DocuShare. Free access to online, searchable database of more than 19,000 documents. Many documents provided by Alliance members, including accreditation materials, human resource policies, and strategic plans.
- Continuing Education and Professional Development. Numerous low-cost opportunities to earn continuing education credits. Access to discounted undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Opportunities for individuals aspiring to high-level leadership to receive professional training at Executive Leadership Institute.
- Alliance for Children & Families Magazine. Free quarterly publication provides in-depth perspective about issues facing members. Covers trends and best practices.
- Human Services Compensation Report. Free annual evaluation and analysis for members that participate in the nationwide survey. Powers members’ to make decisions about compensation and benefits at their organization.
- Nonprofit Director. Quarterly knowledge-development publication for board members. Free copy for each board member.
- Replicable Programs. Only members can operate Ways to Work small loan and financial literacy program and participate in Guardian Scholars Program to support community-based solutions for youth aging out of foster care.
- Job Board. Post vacant positions on Alliance website for free.
- Families in Society. Free quarterly social work journal.
- Consultancy Services. Discounted access to fully-vetted consultants with variety of expertise.
- Access and Impact in Washington. Members’ voices heard through sign-on letters and participation in facilitated conference calls with key congressional staff.
- Revenue-Generating Opportunities. Members and member staff can join FEI Behavioral Health’s network of paid employee assistance providers and crisis management responders.
