Peter B. Goldberg Aramark Building Community Executive Leadership Award

The Peter B. Goldberg Aramark Building Community Executive Leadership Award honors one exceptional chief executive who represents community centers or leads neighborhood-based strategies that improve the health and well-being of families and communities.

Sponsored by Aramark, in partnership with the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities, the award includes a $40,000 contribution from Aramark to the award winner’s community impact efforts.

An ideal candidate is:

  • A mid-career professional
  • Recognized for advancing successful solutions to local community challenges
  • A leader and advocate for innovative approaches to community activation and engagement
  • A strong spokesperson

Eligibility

Any individual may nominate a current executive director of an Alliance member organization in good standing. Candidates should be mid-career and be recognized for innovative leadership that makes an impact in the community.

How to Submit Nominations

Any individual may nominate a current executive director of an Alliance member organization in good standing. Submit a nomination online or via email. Nominations are due July 1, 2016.

Award Selection and Presentation

Nominations may be submitted through July 1, 2016. Candidates will be vetted and verified through an internal leadership panel of Alliance and Aramark representatives. Finalists will be identified based on pre-determined criteria and an independent judging panel will select the winner.

Notifications will be made during the summer and early fall, and the winner will be publicly announced at the 2016 Alliance National Conference, to be held Oct. 19-21.

Judging Committee

The judging committee is made up of nonprofit leadership experts including current and retired CEOs, funders, and corporate partners.
