New Snapshots Video: Connecting the Unconnected to Achieve Collective Impact

San Diego County officials, after questioning in 2010 whether or not their work was truly transformative, set out to improve health and social well-being by better leveraging the resources, talent, and knowledge in the county. They launched Live Well San Diego, a collective effort that uses hundreds of public-private partnerships to promote healthy, safe, and thriving communities.

During his Snapshots presentation at the 2016 Alliance National Conference, Nick Macchione, director of the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency, described the important role human services plays in population health.

“We need to have a vibrant, strong health and human services ecosystem—one that’s connecting the unconnected,” he said.

All the Alliance Snapshots, TED Talk-inspired presentations that took place at the 2016 Alliance National Conference, will hopefully move you to take action and incorporate new and transformational ideas within your organization and community.
