Families in Society Topic Collections

The Alliance for Children and Families’ social work journal, Families in Society: The Journal of Contemporary Social Service, offers five introductory-level topic collections to provide timely, useful, and relevant information to the social community.

Each collection narrows in on a specific topic in social work research and practice, providing in-depth knowledge about:

  1. Evidence-based practice in child welfare
  2. Caring for older adults
  3. Fathers and fatherhood
  4. Practice with diverse clients
  5. Resources for crisis and disaster responders

Collections are available on CD and contain a variety of articles from the Families in Society archive. CDs may be purchased through the Families in Society website.
