New Severson Center Favorite Resource: Energize Inc.
The Alliance for Children and Families’ Severson Center recently named Energize Inc. as its favorite resource for November.
Energize is an international training, consulting, and publishing firm that specializes in volunteerism. Staff who lead and coordinate volunteers can use its website to:
- Share tips and techniques with other professionals
- Stay up to date on hot topics and news related to volunteerism
- Learn about upcoming professional development opportunities
- Browse or post jobs in volunteer management
Energize also offers a resource library that includes free articles, excerpts, electronic books, guides, and annotated lists of websites for more information. The resources are organized into a variety of topic areas, including:
- The executive director's role in volunteer management
- Legal issues
- Working with different types of volunteers
- Program assessment and evaluation
