New Severson Center Favorite Resource: Independent Sector

The Alliance for Children and Families’ Severson Center recently named Independent Sector as its favorite resource for September.

Valuable resources include:

• Guides to shape public policy
• Information about increasing nonprofit effectiveness, good governance and ethical practice
• Statistics about the scope and economic impact of the nonprofit sector

Severson Center staff believe Independent Sector’s nonprofit statistical reporting is particularly useful. The reporting breaks down the number of charities within specific areas of the nonprofit sector.

In addition, Independent Sector's website hosts economic impact information reports about employment, charitable giving, and sources of nonprofit sector revenue.
