Jobs & Fellowships
The Alliance for Children and Families supports the recruitment, development, and retention of a strong nonprofit human services workforce through webinars, conferences and workshops, and Community of Practice email groups.
Critical to helping organizations find new talent is the Alliance Job Board and the Alliance Turning the Tide program.
The Alliance's New Voices Civic Engagement Fellowship program also provides opportunity to support specific capacities within organizations.
Job Board
This national job board provides a platform for nonprofit human service organizations to publicize their employment opportunities. Jobs remain posted for 60 days. Postings are searchable by state and job function.
Posting to the job board is free for Alliance members. To submit a position, sign in or create an account. Once logged in, members can submit their jobs using the online submission form.
This service also is available to nonmembers for $175. Contact the Alliance Member Relations Department to arrange for payment and to receive a temporary username and password.
Turning the Tide Fellowship Program
The Turning the Tide program recruits young, diverse professionals for employment in two-year fellowships at Alliance member organizations.
The program was created in 2006 as an answer to workforce-related challenges faced by the nonprofit human service sector, including:
- Shortage of up-and-coming human service leaders
- Lack of interest in the human service sector
- Increasing emphasis on succession planning
New Voices Civic Engagement Fellowships
The New Voices Civic Engagement Fellowship program is designed to recognize and fuel the leadership of individuals who are involved in civic engagement work at the local and regional level.
