Carla Washington joined the Alliance for Children and Families in May 2010 as director of the New Age of Aging.
She brings more than 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector and came to the Alliance from Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, where she served as manager of community partnerships. Washington was responsible for developing and implementing strategies for community benefit initiatives, the employee community service program, community health assessment, and hospital outreach activities.
Washington has been involved with serving older adults as part of various past employment positions. She also previously served the New Age of Aging by using her expertise on the review committee for the program’s mentoring grants.
Washington earned her master’s degree in management from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and her bachelor’s degree from Marquette University.
