Youth Dynamics Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Background Youth Dynamics, a non-profit children’s behavioral health agency, has been serving Montana families since 1981. This organization offers a wide array of services at 31 locations throughout the state, serving rural and frontier communities as well as more populated areas. Youth Dynamics primarily serves youth with an SED (severely emotionally disturbed) diagnosis and their families. The continuum of care may include community based services or temporary placement in therapeutic foster care, a group home, or a residential setting. Services may be arranged through the state child welfare or mental health agencies, or through private referral. This agency currently has a $20,000,000 budget and approximately 500 staff. Youth Dynamics is accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Services include: • Caregiver Support and Education • Youth Case Management • Therapeutic Mentoring Program • Respite Care • Substance Abuse Treatment • Therapy Services • Therapeutic Youth Group Homes • Equine Therapy • Supervised Visits • Day Treatment • Supported Independent Living Skills • Medication Management • Services for Youth with Highly Sexualized Behaviors • Therapeutic Foster Care Primary Responsibilities • Responsible to the Board of Directors • Provide information and support to the Board and committees • Provide leadership for a positive agency culture enabling all staff to perform quality services in keeping with the mission and vision of the agency • With the Board and staff, responsible for formation, implementation, and assessment of strategic plans • Preparing and managing the budget, forecasting, and ensuring sustainable, diverse funding streams • Attract, retain and engage effective employees • Actively pursue strong relationships with community partners, state officials, and constituents • Serve as the chief spokesperson and advocate for Youth Dynamics with state and federal legislators and agencies, other organizations, and the general public. Qualifications • Master’s level education preferred with specialized training in business, mental health, social work, public administration or a similar discipline compatible with Youth Dynamics programs. • At least five years of increasing responsibility in upper management including oversight of internal operations, fiscal responsibility, personnel, and program supervision. • Experience as a provider of mental health and/or child welfare services. • Strong budget and financial management experience, specifically the ability to navigate Montana’s child welfare and mental health services funding streams. • Possess a history of achieving/exceeding goals, improving the bottom line, evaluating program performance, and growing organizations under his/her responsibility. • Extensive personnel management experience. The agency has a strong insurance package including health, long-term disability, and life with an employer contribution. Benefits also include employer contributions to a 403(b) retirement plan.
