The Alliance for Strong Families and Communities, in partnership with the American Public Human Services Association (APHSA), has officially launched a nationwide survey to assess the financial health of America's social sector. The survey is a critical component of the joint initiative between the Alliance and APHSA, A National Imperative: Building a Stronger Social Sector.
The Alliance and APHSA have engaged Oliver Wyman, a global leader in management consulting, to guide the execution of the project and administer the survey. Oliver Wyman brings extensive knowledge across multiple industries, including financial services, health care, and the nonprofit sector, as well as deep expertise in conducting primary and secondary research and performing data analysis.
This survey aims to uncover the current state of the social sector, the major challenges impacting the sector, and potential solutions to address those challenges.
All Alliance members should have received a unique link to the survey via email Monday, June 12, and should complete the survey through the link in the email. If you did not receive an email, contact the survey support team at Oliver Wyman.
Chief executives of social sector organizations that are not members of the Alliance can complete the survey online through this link.
The deadline to complete the survey is Friday, July 21 at noon CT.
The survey will require approximately 30 minutes to complete. Have your IRS Form 990 or financial reports available for reference, as the survey will ask for some financial information about your organization.
All survey responses will remain confidential. The identity of respondents will be visible to the analysts at Oliver Wyman, but all survey outputs and public reporting of the survey results will contain data that is anonymized or reported in the aggregate. Survey respondents will also receive a report summarizing the survey results later in the year.
In addition to collecting and analyzing data about the current state of this sector, this initiative will develop recommendations for stakeholder groups across the sector. Learn more about the initiative online.
