The Alliance for Strong Families and Communities’ strategic action network now has access to full-text articles from Education Source, MEDLINE with Full Text, and Business Source Corporate Plus via the Alliance Library’s EBSCOhost connection.

Education Source, the world's largest and most complete collection of full-text education journals, provides research and information to meet the needs of professionals and policy makers. It covers all levels of education — from early childhood to higher education — as well as all educational specialties such as school discipline and student expulsion, bullying, and other education topics.

Medline with Full Text provides full-text for many of the popular health journals indexed in MEDLINE. Many journals are available with no embargo, allowing you to access information as soon as it is published. Check Medline with Full Text for information about improving health care systems to better health outcomes for all people; integrated health and social services; and more. You can even share and discuss these articles with your Alliance colleagues in the Health and Human Services Intersection Alliance Peer Exchange (APEX).

Business Source Corporate Plus includes more than 5,600 full-text business magazines, journals, and trade publications; 1,300 full-text newspapers with same-day currency; over one million full-text company profiles; and 1.6 million TV and radio news transcripts. Philanthropy trends and generative leadership are just two examples of topics covered in this collection.

This expanse of information can seem overwhelming, so here are a few tips to make these resources work for you with minimal effort:

EBSCOhost allows users to refine their subject search to people, companies, reviews, or specific subject headings. From there, users can navigate to and explore subdivisions or related terms. You can also search the Alliance Library for member-contributed materials, reports, Alliance published materials, resources, and special collections curated by Alliance librarians.
