The Events & Drives Specialist is responsible for managing the execution of NVFS’ development efforts, including the Road to Independence Gala silent auction and guest registration, Bowl-a-thon, Back to School, Operation Turkey and Gifting for Families drives. Activities include recruitment of sponsors, attendees and in-kind contributions, marketing, logistics, and administration and the responsibility to raise budgeted revenue for assigned drives and events.

In-Kind Drives and Events Management:
Serve as lead for execution of Back-To-School, Operation Turkey and Gifting for Families in-kind drives.
Coordinate and/or support agency events as assigned, including, but not limited to, Bowl-a-thon and donor cultivation events.
Identify and contact prospects who will provide sponsorships and monetary and in-kind donations for various drives and events.
Initiate the development and production of drives and events-related promotional collateral, including marketing materials, sponsorship forms, programs, etc.
Collaborate with volunteer engagement staff to identify roles and numbers of volunteers needed for successful execution of activities.
Provide in a timely manner all events-related monetary and in-kind donations information to the Donor Database Administrator for accurate recording.
Track drive and event expenses and outcomes.
Respond to external inquiries regarding in-kind donations and drives.
Manage event mailings as needed.
Gala Auction & Registration Management:
Prepare and execute mass solicitation mailing for silent auction items for annual Road to Independence Gala. Conduct follow up via email and phone to solicit auction items as necessary.
Support volunteer work of Auction Committee, ensuring solicitation and securement are executed in timely manner.
Ensure accurate and timely entry of gala sponsors, attendees, and auction donations into online event platform.
In collaboration with other Events Team members, manage guest check-in and out the night of the event and oversee activity related to mobile bidding pre and post Gala.
Develop and produce auction-related promotional materials from online event platform.
In collaboration with the Donor Database Administrator, ensure timely migration of Gala attendee and auction data from online donation platform to Raiser’s Edge database for post-event communications and reporting.
Track and analyze Gala auction data to determine effectiveness and make recommendations to maximize results.
Coordinate other on-site logistics for the gala as assigned (supplies, technology needs, etc.).
Track Gala auction expenses.
Acknowledge silent auction donations.
Conduct confidential donor and/or prospect research for new funding sources, using approved methods and public sources of information.
Represent the agency as a member of community events and initiatives as applicable.
Participate in regular supervision with supervisor and provide regular updates.
Maintain files in accordance with department requirements and NVFS guidelines.
Maintain current level of knowledge of Agency programs and events.
Qualification and Additional Requirements: An individual may obtain skills through a variety of professional, personal, educational, and volunteer experiences. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform essential job duties.
At least two (2) years related experience in community outreach, fundraising and/or events
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree a plus
Strong organizational and communication skills
Experience with data entry and website content editing preferred
Oral and written fluency in English required; additional language skills always welcome
Proficiency in usage of basic technological tools including laptops/computers, email, phones, and internet required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and strong Excel skills required.

Successful completion of background checks upon hire.
Must be able to lift or carry up to 20 pounds of supplies and equipment for setup and tear down of events.
May be called upon to work beyond normal working hours.
