The Alliance for Strong Families and Communities seeks proposals for presentations at its three 2018 roundtables:

This series of roundtables is a premier peer learning and networking opportunity, as it allows executives to dig into challenges and opportunities unique to their specific professional roles and benefit from a tailored networking experience.  

Proposal Selection Process and Deadlines

Submit a presentation for one or more roundtables by completing this online form by Dec. 6 at 5 p.m. CT. Each roundtable will provide focused content around the specific professional role, so review the requested topics for each roundtable to determine which one best aligns with your expertise and presentation.

Presentation selections for each roundtable will be made by its respective core team, which are comprised of executives and directors from the Alliance network.

All required information must be included for proposal consideration. Submitting a proposal does not guarantee acceptance. Individuals will be notified on Jan. 8, 2018 if their presentations have been selected for inclusion in a roundtable’s program.

The Alliance will not permit any presenter to use his or her presentation to make a sales pitch for any specific firm, publication, or service. Presenters will not be paid for their participation.  

Event and Session Format

Each roundtable draws an approximate 40 participants. Attendees stay together for the duration of the roundtable, which consists of four to six presentations that are generally 60-90 minutes long. Select a format that complements your presentation, keeping in mind that adults retain information best when the session is interactive/participatory. Consider a panel discussion, world café, or other style.

Submission Requirements

Address all of the following submission requirements in your presentation proposal.

All proposals must be submitted through the Alliance’s online submission form by Dec. 6.

  • Main Contact Information. Include full contact information including name, title, organization, address, phone, and email address for the main contact person with whom the Alliance should communicate
  • Presenter Contact Information. Provide the full contact information for each presenter
  • Biography. Include a current biography for each presenter that is no longer than 200 words
  • Presentation Title. Include a brief, descriptive title for your presentation that is no longer than 75 characters
  • Description. Describe your presentation in 500 words or less. Include an explanation of how your topic is practical and relevant for the attendees of this conference
  • Learning Objectives. List two to three learning objectives describing what attendees will learn from your presentation
  • Presentation Methods. If you are proposing a “Design Your Own” format, describe the format/delivery methods you will use to engage the audience
  • Content Level. Indicate whether the level of your content is introductory, intermediate, or advanced
  • Requested Topic. Select the requested topic that best matches your proposal content
  • Prior Presentations. If this workshop has been presented before, list the conference(s) and date(s)
