The Alliance for Strong Families and Communities seeks innovators in the sector to showcase their perspective during Snapshots at the 2019 Alliance National Conference, held Oct. 16-18 in Indianapolis. The Alliance National Conference features exceptional ideas and a variety of learning opportunities that address key issues and trends affecting the nonprofit sector.

  • Do you have an idea that challenges the norms in the nonprofit sector?
  • Have you found a new solution to an enduring challenge?
  • Could you captivate a live audience with your story?

Snapshots speakers give 10-minute presentations in the style of TED Talks that are designed to prompt the audience to take action, feel inspired, or challenge prevailing wisdom. Anyone is eligible to submit a proposal, you don’t have to be an executive or affiliated with an Alliance member organization to audition.

The ideal Snapshot incorporates:

  • Emotion: Engage members of the audience and make them take notice
  • Storytelling: Connect us with the faces, challenges, and successes behind your work
  • Clarity: Showcase the details of your work in 10 minutes or less
  • Excellence: Let this be the best presentation you’ve ever given

Submit proposals through the online form below by Dec. 12.

If you are chosen to participate in the video conference audition, you should be prepared to tell us:

  • What is the story you seek to tell?
  • How is your work is disrupting business as usual or solving a common challenge?
  • What are the indicators of success or failure for your approach? How do you know?
  • Why is your idea of unique interest and exceptional value? Why is your message is something our conference participants will be eager to learn about?
