Gettysburg, Pa., April 15, 2018 – OPEN MINDS and the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities are pleased to announce a new association partnership to share information and resources that enable and promote a better understanding of behavioral health and human services trends and research.

This association partnership will serve as an important intersection between OPEN MINDS and the Alliance’s vast depth of data, knowledge, and research and on-the-ground experience and expertise of Alliance members. Together, partnerships like these will help to improve the quality of care for individuals with complex support needs by improving the effectiveness of those serving them—from provider organizations to government agencies to researchers and scientists.

“We are honored to join OPEN MINDS and welcome them to the Alliance strategic action network,” said Susan Dreyfus, president and CEO of the Alliance. “We believe we are stronger together and the formation of such deep and enduring partnerships is vital to the success of our nation’s community-based organizations.”

Through this association partnership, OPEN MINDS will provide premium educational materials to Alliance staff through The OPEN MINDS Circle. The curated OPEN MINDS Circle content will include thousands of on-demand articles, reports, presentations, data sets, reference documents, how-to tools, and more. This content represents the largest existing proprietary archive of market intelligence, research, data. and best practices in the field of behavioral health and human services. The Alliance will be able to share curated OPEN MINDS Circle content in its publications and/or website.

Additionally, OPEN MINDS relies on industry thought leaders and innovators to gain new market insights. An important component of the partnership will be the opportunity for the Alliance leadership to help shape OPEN MINDS’ agenda and market intelligence coverage. This includes the recommendation of topics, speakers and organizations for OPEN MINDS Circle content, as well as the OPEN MINDS Executive Institute series.

“The work of the Alliance has never been more important. Their work with community-based social service organizations, to meet the health, economic, educational, and safety needs of the most vulnerable citizens, is critical to those consumers with the most complex support needs, the same consumers that have been the focus of OPEN MINDS for the past 30 years,” said Monica E. Oss, OPEN MINDS CEO. “The national strategic action network of the Alliance is focused on assuring that every person and every community has access to the foundational supports they need to thrive. Our partnership will provide the information and tools that the managers in the health and human services sector need to address the social determinants of health. Together we can drive effective care coordination and early intervention and prevention programs, to improve population health outcomes and bend the health care cost curve.”
