The Alliance for Strong Families and Communities is pleased to announce that Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) in Des Plaines, Illinois, has joined the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities strategic action network as of February 2019.

LLSI has served as a nonprofit social service organization for more than 150 years and is part of three Illinois synods of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Currently, it is Illinois largest, non-government statewide social service provider, serving almost 50,000 people from 68 sites.

Because LSSI is now able to tap into the shared resources provided by the Alliance, it is eager to work with member providers as they move toward generative, whole-person care.
