Organizations that are equitable, diverse, and inclusive (EDI) are more effective and impactful; however, persons of color have historically been underrepresented in leadership roles at nonprofits. These sample plans demonstrate how organizations can become EDI-ready, offering examples for how to change organizational culture so pathways for leadership are open to everyone. The plans show the different approaches each organization is taking, reflecting individual organizational cultures and approaches to cultural change.

This collection includes equity plans submitted by the following Alliance for Strong Families and Communities members who participated in the Building Organizational Capacity for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion cohort.

Please note that all the plans are living documents and works in progress as these organizations continue along their paths of building organizational capacity for equity, diversity, and inclusion.

The Alliance for Strong Families and Communities thanks American Express for their generous support of this cohort.
